Penhurst state mental hospital is said to be haunted. It is located in Springcity,Pa Visited there recently. when inside some of the rundown buildings. took vidieo of the inside. Very spooky. It was closed down due to mistreatment of patients . a lot of belomgings were just left there: clothes pillows shoes files>... Security patrols there so be careful

bartonville state hospital is said to be haunted.people have went in and seen strange things have happened with ghosts being seen i heard the graveyard was the most scariest.i live about 10 minutes away from it but never been there and would love to go i have connections to the place my grandfather was there in 70.

The Dixmont Mental Hospital that is located in Kilbuck Township just east of Sewickley. IT is off of Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard) just a short distance from I-79.
Infact, the local radio station just did a special on it. However, it is currently proposed to be torn down for a Super Walmart. |

Dixmont is privately owned, it's not owned by the state anymore, don't know how to contact the owners. The current owner is the one selling it to Wal-Mart. The place is guarded now, and the also have cameras set up at each entrance and randomly throughout the complex. They DO prosecute if you get caught up there, and they do have gaurds keeping an eye on the place.

I have always wanted to know exactly what torture treatments were used in bartonville hospitial. I would have loved to have visited the hospitial. any information on the treatments used ther ? Or where i could get any pictures of the lace ? jhbjm

Haunted hospital in North Carolina true story | ||

There is a haunted hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. The name of it is Dorothea Dix Hopsital. It is said that at night, you can hear the foot steps of those who have comitted suicide there walking the halls. Also, that if you watch the screens in the admissions office, you will see the ghost of Dorothea Dix in a old white state gown, it is said that she checks on the paitents to make sure no harm comes to them.
I know this for a fact about this hopsital, one night I was spending the night in William's Building, the building for the teenagers, of the hospital, and I was sleeping on the front hall, and I awoke to the phone ringing. No one was in the whole building but me. Then all of a sudden it stopped ringing. Then a couple of minutes later, the phone on the back hall started ringing. It did this for like 3 hours. Then the next morning, I called to see if anyone had called there the night before, and the only reply that I got was "no, I didn't call, it must have been Dorothea calling to tell you she was there watching over you. Next time answer the phone." |

I live a 525 Penn Avenue, and it used to be this mental hospital, and it is haunted, I've seen things. In fact everyone has seen things. The problem is, that one knows the name of the place. I have been on the computer all morning looking up haunted places, There really has been nothing that will chill me to the bone(from the comfort of my home that is) I have been from the catacombs to haunted houses to haunted castles. I love beening scared in saftey, if I was in any of thoose places for real I would more than likely be traumatized for a while. Haunted asylums sound creepy, anyone know any site I could cheak out?

There's an abandoned haunted asylum in Katonah, New York but I can't find the address to it. It might be in the town next to Katonah called Bedford, but I'm not sure. If anybody knows please reply or e-mail me at lsokal@yahoo.com.
