I hope this post reaches you. I am working with a gentleman who was institutionalized in Doctor's General in California and received a lobotomy by a Dr. Freeman there. He was 12 years old at the time. He is now 55, and he is trying to find others who had a similar experience to him. He wants to learn about his past, and then put it behind him. Hi-- I was hoping someone might be able to help. My name is Piya Kochhar. I work at a public radio company. We've been reasearching an oral-history on Dr. Walter Freeman and the transorbital lobotomy, or "ice-pick" procedure.
We've been working a man who received a lobotomy from Freeman in 1961. He was 12 at the time, and now 43 year's later, he wants to find out more about what happened to him and why it happened. We're trying to find others who shared a similar experience or who know of someone who did. He would also be interested in speaking with nurses, doctors, or hospital staff who can shed light on this chapter in medical history. If you can help it would mean a lot... Dang. I went there last night, and it was only sunset and it was still freaky. We heard some one scream and no one else was in there but us. We did take a looksy at the story but we didn't read it all. The other thing was that all of my picture, even the ones we took outside, turned out way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way darker then it should've been...like in the back ground you could only see some little balls of light. and by the way, there is no I repeat no security what so ever. If you do get caught, you better have connections though.

hI happen to live in the Diversitech housing, and I own one of the new homes that was built here. The old unused buildings should be torn down mainly because
of the safety aspect. There are lots of young kids in the community that don't need something like this to get into trouble with. As far as living here my
wife and some of the people here think there are ghosts, i believe their going nuts and that it's BS. The lady next door has a ghost tape from exploring
one of the old buildings where you clearly here someone say "get out" I think it was some stoned kids playing around but who knows.
