I would like to check some out and take some pictures of them since i am a photo major. But the only problem is that i don't know where any of them are in California. So if any know where there are some of them hopefully some in southern California please let me know. Thank you.

I would start at the www.historicasylums homesite and go from there. As much as I don't like saying it, many of the asylums listed there or not are already gone.
